HOUSING SERVICES
HTL’s Housing Project targets Men Living with HIV, inclusive of Gay Men.
HTL Housing Services provides a continuum of care through several supportive housing programs designed to meet the needs of individuals living with HIV.
Emergency Housing
Our Emergency Housing Program offers safe, structured housing for up to 120 days in a social detox setting. During this time, participants engage in our Substance Abuse Education and Counseling Program to support the early stages of recovery.
Transitional Housing
Our Transitional Housing Program provides shared living accommodations for up to two years. This program is available to individuals transitioning from Emergency Housing, as well as those who have a positive HIV diagnosis, verifiable clean time, and a source of income. Participants follow a personalized Recovery Plan designed to promote long-term stability and independence.
TBRA
The Tenant-Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) Program offers subsidized rental housing for up to two years. Individuals pay 30% of their income toward rent in accordance with HUD guidelines. Unlike our other programs, TBRA does not require participation in a Recovery Plan, focusing instead on stable, independent living in the community.
To qualify for HTL Housing Services, individuals must be 18 years or older, have a diagnosis of HIV, meet certain income guidelines, and have a source of income that aligns with HUD’s 30% rent contribution requirement.
How It Works
Housing appointments can take up to three hours to be accepted into the program. Submitting documents virtually can speed up the process.
1Screening Packet
Begin by completing the screening packet to determine your initial eligibility for the program.
2Housing Assessment
Participate in a housing assessment with the housing team to evaluate your eligibility for housing services.
3Meeting with The team
Finally, attend a meeting with all teams to collaboratively make a final decision and outline your next steps.
